Story

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function.

Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.

In November 2017, Gaz lost a close friend, Andy, to CF following a life-long battle with the condition and a second double lung transplant. Andy was just 35. Despite his suffering, Andy always put others first and never let his condition stop him from laughing, loving and living life to the full. Andy was passionate about supporting the CF Trust in raising both money and awareness.

We are committed to continuing this work in his memory, by raising money to help other people in Andy’s situation battle this condition. That is why on Sunday 23rd June 2019, we will be cycling The 'Little' John 100 mile ride.

First training session went well today. 60 miles on a sunny Sunday morning. A shame Ross couldn't join us but have a few more planned before the big day. Big thanks to those who have donated so far! 💛
